JITEA

Mr Jitea is a public manager within the Public Policy Unit of the General Secretariat of the Romanian Government. He is part of the group of experts that drafted the 'National Strategy for the Inclusion of Romanian Citizens Belonging to the Roma Minority' for the period 2011- 2020. In the period 2009 – 2011 he acted as a program officer within the 2006 PHARE Grant for the improvement of Roma living conditions. He has a vast experience in the field of protection of national minorities’ rights.

Marius Jitea holds an MA in International Relations from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of Syracuse University and has been carrying out during the past decade duties as a member of the Council of Europe/DYS Pool of Trainers, being involved in field activities in countries from the Balkans. At national level he is associated with the Association “Romanian Institute of Training” that intensively exposed him to working fields such as intercultural education, human rights education, community development and conflict resolution.
