The Seminar on the Role of Youth Policies in Supporting Roma Youth Participation was organised by the European Youth Centre in Budapest, Hungary. The seminar took place from 19-21 November and aimed at discussing, among other issues, the importance of involving the Roma youth in local and regional policies and the development of action plans as well as the collaboration with ROMED2 and ROMACT programmes.
The seminar gathered over 30 participants from 15 countries with a wide range of backgrounds, such as Roma and non-Roma youth NGOs, ROMED mediators, youth councils, local authorities and OSCE Best Practices for Roma Integration project.
Other stakeholders at the seminar represented the Open Society Roma Initiatives Office, Erasmus+, European Roma Rights Centre, Decade for Roma Inclusion, European Youth Forum as well as the Roma youth networks FERYP and ternYpe.
