Commissionner Vassiliou and Secretary General Jagland on the extension of ROMED1

On the 6th of July 2011, "the EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth Androulla Vassiliou signed the first of two funding agreements, which will see the EU give €1 million Euros to the Council of Europe to help train 1000 mediators.
The deal is a financial boost to the Roma Mediator Training Programme (Romed) launched earlier this year by the Council of Europe. So far, 427 mediators have been trained."
